Well its not that we have not been busy planning.. but just too busy planning to keep everyone updated.
We are in the last stages of planning. We have a few major things to get taken care of (flowers, rentals) and then its just the details. Hopefully everything will all come together in the end.

| 04/-0/20 - 4-:25 | New Photographer! | (Tanya) |
| Chris and I have selected a new photographer! His name is Tore Ofteness and he is a local photographer with tons of talent and experience. He is also originally from Bergen, Norway. He has some great pictures of the fish market, which Chris and I have personally visited and love.
In other exciting wedding news. We have selected a bridesmaid dress. Anna, Echo and I have selected the After Six style A6215.
I think they will both look beautiful in them.
Otherwise, Chris and I have been focusing on designing our wedding invitations. We are making them ourselves and we hope that people like the personal touch we are trying to add.

The bad news first. We had to cancel our contract with our photographer due to ceremony time issues. Good news, we are having a night wedding! The new ceremony time is 7PM!

| 04/-0/20 - 2-:12 | Save the dates are in the mail!! | (Tanya) |
Yesterday I mailed the Save the Dates that Chris and I put together. I hope people find them useful. If anyone who got one has more questions, just drop us an email. Here is the newsletter we sent out. Here it is in word document form too.
And I am very proud to announce that we have booked our honeymoon!
I will be updating the site with the out of town guest information, driving directions, and more. Stay tuned.

| 04/-0/20 - 1-:11 | Updates to the Site | (Tanya) |
| I have been very busy this weekend updating the planning part of our wedding website. I have added the wedding party, possible bridesmaid attire, ceremony venue pictures, reception venue pictures, honeymoon information, and wedding planning links. I am hoping to get this site together before the Save the Dates go out in the mail. Speaking of Save the Dates, we have ordered our special reminders (thats a surprise!) and I have designed the newsletter with out of town guest information. My dad booked the DJ (thanks dad!). We are having James Lucerne do the reception. He comes highly recommended by my maid of honor Anna.

| 03/-1/20 - 2-:08 | Another successfull trip! | (Tanya) |
I went home for Thanksgiving and it was a very busy trip in my world of wedding planning. I do have at least one or two things marked off the to do list.
First, I met with the caterer and actually put down a deposit (well my dad did, since he would like to pay for parts of the reception, thanks dad!). We also sketched our a preliminary menu. I told Chris about it and it sounds good. I think have to rethink the appetizers some more and try to get it to be more interesting. The main meal sounds good though.
I also met two djs, and talked to one on the phone. Overall I was impressed by all three and it will be a hard decision. I'll post what we decided as soon as I put down the deposit.
Lastly, Anna and I went to the two bridal shops in town. I tried on my gown again and made some decisions on a crinoline and viel. Anna started trying on Bridesmaid dresses. Unfortunately she only found one or two that were ok, but not the WOW factor. So I will have to research this more and send her on another try-on mission. Hopefully Echo can try some on in Oregon too. At least I have a better idea of what Anna likes and doesn't like. I want my maid of honor and bridesmaid to be happy.
Chris and I registered for the pre-cana classes. They will be in Feb.
Lastly, the guest list is coming together. Hopefully at the end of December it will be completed and the Save the Dates can be sent out in Jan. I do have a design worked out, but I may work on it some more.
Wow, thats a lot.. but so much more to do!

| 03/-1/20 - 1-:11 | Engagement Pics | (Tanya) |
Last Saturday, Chee Wai Lee took some pictures of Chris and I. We are calling these our engagement pictures. We decided to go all digital since we have a very nice digital camera, and we really did not want to spend the insane amount of money to get a few pictures taken. We did take Chee Wai out to lunch and I think he had a good time. We are very grateful for him agreeing to do this, and the pictures turned out great! I will post them in the picture section in the next day or so.

| 03/-1/20 - 0-:11 | Pre-Cana | (Tanya) |
| Chris and I met with the marriage prep coordinator at the Newman Center on campus. He was very nice and detailed all the steps we need to take to be married in the Catholic Church. It envolves two 8 hour classes, and roughly 2 meetings with a priest. Looks like the Feb. time frame for the classes.
We also sent in the contract to the photographer. So thats one more thing to mark off the list!

| 03/-0/20 - 9-:09 | Labor Day Weekend Work | (Tanya) |
| Over Labor Day Weekend I visited Bellingham to see my family and to do a bit of wedding planning. Since I am planning long distance, I will take every visit to Bellingham as a 'working' visit.
The weekend was very successful. My mom and I went dress shopping at Alicias Bridal. I told her that we were just looking and I would not be buying a dress. But, they were having a sample sale and I found a deal I could not pass up. So I have a dress! In order for it to remain a mystery, I probably won't put pictures online. The dress needs minimal alterations, but if you know a good seamstress, please let me know.
Second, I went and visited the reception hall (Aftermath/Broadway Hall). I took tons of pictures so I could start thinking about decorations. I think the top floor will suit my needs best, although we might need to bottom floor as well. I will post pictures soon. The reception hall only has 7ft tables and chairs. We will need to rent our linens, place settings, and chair covers (if we go that route). Only bad thing about the reception hall is the heating system, which is a huge metal box hanging from the ceiling. I am working on a way to hide this a bit. Overall I think it will be nice and we are penciled in. I need to contact the Westfords regarding a deposit.
I also met with Fr. Frank who will be performing the ceremony at Assumption Church. Our date is penciled in, but I need to call the right people to make the deposit and start other forms. He is an awesome guy and I think he will do a nice job on the ceremony. Chris and I need to attend pre-cana in Illinois. I also took some pictures of the inside of the church for decoration purposes. I shall post those later as well.
My mom and I did misc. decoration shopping. We just wanted an idea of what was at Michaels in town. We got some good ideas
I also spoke with The Sandwich Odyssey regarding catering. I think they will work out well. The woman who is the main chef is very confident and can cook anything we want. I will make a decision on this in the next month or so.
My dad and I went to the two tux shops in the mall, The Mens Wearhouse and Garys Tux Shoppe. They both carried similar stuff, but Garys had a better special. This is way too early to decide, but I have some idea of price now.
Lastly, I was lucky enough to meet with a potential photographer Teddi Yaegar. I love her work. She was great in person too. We have a couple other options, but we are leaning towards booking her. More details to come.
Thats all for now!
